We can't help but notice the crayon art movement when we browse pinterest. Wow! I just had to try one myself. I wanted it to look like an abstract Sebastian. But as it turns out, crayons have a mind of their own! This is my second attempt. I recommend doing a practice one first and be prepared for it to look nothing like what you had planned. BOL!
INSTRUCTIONS:
What you'll need - Artist Canvas (the one in this photo is a 16X20), pack of crayons, toothpicks, blow dryer, pencil, black and white paint, small paintbrush.
Melting crayons with a blow dryer turns out to be quite a mess (I learned from my first try) so I covered my table with paper and built a cardboard shield to block all of the flying specks of crayons.
Make sure to chop up a bunch of crayons in 1/4" pieces or less before you start. A small piece of crayon goes a long way! I used toothpicks to hold them down to keep my fingers out of the way of the hot blow dryer.
There you have it! I love how colorful it is.
XOXOXOXO,
Erika and Sebastian
