Raincoat from Tailgate Chair Bag

Sebastian and I had this chair bag from who knows where...chair is missing.  The fabric was perfect for a raincoat, not to mention college football just started.  Go Fresno State!

Click here for the tutorial on the pattern and click here for the sewing portion.

We also used the chair bag straps as the "belt" for under the belly.  Yep!

Oh and can't forget to show you the sparkly blue ribbon we added across the middle back.  We'd say it's the icing on the cake.

We love it!

Don't forget to visit our tutorial on how to make your own coat pattern just like this one!

Good Day Sacramento

Last week, Sebastian and I had a segment on Good Day Sacramento with Tina Macuha!

We talked about our recycled pet fashions and DIY crafts.  Our shirt collar DIY was one of the most popular recycled crafts we've blogged about (probably because it's so stinkin' easy) so we did a demonstration of one on the air.

Watch our video here!

It was a lot of fun and a great experience.  I spent some time freaking out (just a little) in the guest waiting area while Sebastian relaxed in the big orange chair.

And then it was all over.  Just like that.  4 minutes on air seems like a split second, let me tell ya!

We drove off into the sunrise (hahaha, it seemed early) and spent some much-needed mother and son time in the Bay Area.

Here's Sebastian enjoying the breeze outside of Starbucks in San Francisco.

Love in the Air?

Sebastian visited his friend Leela from Ooh Leela this weekend.  They met at BlogPaws in Salt Lake City just a few months ago and became instant friends.

They PAWsed for a quick photo with the Golden Gate Bridge.  Little did they know that was just one of 500 more photos to come.

They cruised the ferry building, had a bite to eat, and enjoyed watching the people walk by.

Sebastian and Leela have so much in common.  Both love fashion, both model, both have crazy moms...

Luckily, they are both used to the camera.  Trying to photograph more than one dog at a time can be a challenge!

Despite crazy moms, they had so much fun exploring, shopping, dining, clubbing...  I think there are definitely some sparks here!

Sebastian is keeping his paws crossed for this one.

Thanks to our wonderful furiends for a wonderful weekend!

Be sure to visit Ooh Leela for more photos of our trip.

Craft for Shelters - Our Completed Crafts!

National Craft for your Local Shelters Day was a huge success!  Sebastian and I had high hopes and our local community definitely brought their game.  We had a list of 8 local animal shelters so we meant business at our sweatshop...er, I mean...craft party.

Together, we created:

24 Dog and Cat Bowls - Donated by iLoveToCreate and hand painted by local volunteers.

49 Bandanas - Fabric donated and sewn together by volunteers.  "Adopt Me" message applied using the awesome Tulip ScreenIt machine donated by iLoveToCreate.

32 Rope Toys - made out of recycled tees and fabric.  Weaved together by volunteers of all ages!

And why not add some place mats for those gorgeous dog bowls?
These are from our new friends over at Ooh Leela who traveled 3 hours to help us at our Craft Party.

Special Thanks to Me'n'Eds for donating pizza to our hardworking volunteers, yeah!

Also, huge shout out to our homegirl, Laura Fraedrich, from iLoveToCreate who glazed and fired all 24 dog bowls for us.

Cheers to the success of our very first Craft for Shelters Party and many more to come!

XOXOXOXO,
Erika and Sebastian
