Possibly the best fortune cookie we ever opened.

Recycled T-Shirt Bandana

Instructions for this?  There are none, really.  All you need is a pair of scissors and an old tee with a screen on it.  Oh, and a dog.

T-Shirt material is soft, stretchy, and doesn't unravel much.  You can trace one of your dog's current bandanas onto the t-shirt image or you can guesstimate by cutting out a triangular bandana shape.  If your dog is small enough, you can use the image on your sleeve too (if there is one).

Once you've cut it out, you're done.  Yep!  Use this same concept for cutting out any t-shirt image for a bandana.  So easy there's really no excuse for any dog out there to be bandana-less.

DIY Curtains From a Pair of Pants - Pantains!

I think this may be my silliest creation of 2014.  I bought these pants from the thrift store for 95 cents and now they are Sebastian's new curtains for his bed overlooking the not-so-glamorous craft room.  He likes to sleep and he likes to be in whatever room I'm in.  With that being said,  it only makes sense to give him his own personal space in every room of the house.

This project has some basic sewing, but the sewing part could be substituted for fabric glue.  Read on to  make your own!

INSTRUCTIONS

What you'll need:
Spring Tension Rod
Pair of Pants (or capris?) wider than tension rod
Ribbon
Sewing machine or glue

Basically, chop it.  Sew it.  Hang it.  HA!

This is a bookshelf with those adjustable shelving holes and the hooks screwed into them perfectly.  Talk about meant to be!  But of course the curtains still look great without hooks if you don't want to put holes into your furniture.

Sebastian and I want to see "pantains" on all those crazy cool dog beds incorporated into furniture around the house!  You know, like those beds inside nightstands and coffee tables?  It's kind of a thing.

Erika and Sebastian
