Easiest Upcycled Tote Transformation Ever!!!

If you're like me, I know you have closets full of JUNK!  I had been thinking of what to do with this old tote for the longest time.  And to think that just last week, I almost cut the straps off to use on something else.  Eeeekkk!!!

BEFORE
(hanging on my dad's handmade dog house he built in the 70's)

I think it will take me longer to type up the instructions than it took me to transform this bag!

Instructions:

First, I cut out an oval shape on paper to be traced onto the side of the bag with chalk.

Then I cute it out with some sturdy shears.

I covered the raw edges with double fold bias tape and then stitched a straight line on my sewing machine to attach it to the tote.
(I'm sure there's many other methods of doing this part!)

VOILA!!!  There you have it!

Even though this tote is just a tad bit too small for Sebastian, he willingly jumped in!

XOXOXO,
Erika and Sebastian

Very cute idea!! I know I have plenty of totes that are just hanging in my closet doing nothing that I could do this for my puppy Jada. Thanks for sharing!

What a great tote! Do you think totes come in a larger size, like extra, EXTRA large, for a doggie like me?

TeeHee!!

Happy Thursday woofs & hugs,

I have to figure out a way to do that with backpacks. Neat idea for a pet tote!

You look so cute in that stylish bag. What a great idea.

I don't think there is a tote bag big enough for me to fit in. And if there was, I don't think Mommy could carry it. I weigh 60 lbs right now and I'm still growing.

But I still get to go places with Mommy. I just have to walk on a leash.
