Rattlesnake Lake and Rattlesnake Ledge Hike

We went on a little hike just 45 minutes outside of Seattle.  We couldn't help but notice how odd this place looked with hundreds of tree stumps covering the ground.


Turns out, the drought has caused this lake to drop 29 feet revealing old-growth tree stumps from a forest cleared long ago.  


Here's Sebastian smiling at the top of Rattlesnake Ledge, only 1100 feet above the lake!  We passed a ridiculous amount of dogs on this trail and we highly recommend this adventure for dogs of all sizes.


Here you can see just how much the lake has shrunk down below.  And we are happy to report we did not see any rattlesnakes!  Read up on the very interesting history of this area here.

    It's beautiful there! Maybe you'll get some of the expected rain that's supposed to hit the west coast soon. I think most of it might help CA, but you need it there too.
