Super Bowl 2015 - Matching Fur Vests!

Up until a few months ago, we thought the Super Bowl meant parties and food.  But when Sebastian and I moved to Seattle, it became quite clear we needed to join the crazy fans as part of our new city experience.  So we did.

Of course we couldn't just buy a typical jersey (yawn).  I present to you our matching lime green fur vests with a big "12" appliqued on the back!

Now, if you're anything like me and Sebastian (meaning clueless about football), you'll be wondering what's the big deal about the number 12.  In fact, I remember when I first moved here, I noticed the "12" flag up on every other building I passed.  I thought to myself, "maybe player #12 is the Michael Jordan of football."  Then one day, someone explained it all to me - Number 12 represents the fan.

And Seattle is one of the top dog-friendly cities to live in with a plethora of "crazy dog people" so Sebastian and I still (kinda sorta) blended right in as we walked the streets in our matching gear.

I know you're all dying to find out how to get this look.  We ordered the lime green fur from fabric.com, but the fabric stores have a variety of furs on hand that would work too (incase you're thinking of a more subtle color).

Here's the patterns we used.

Football is so much more fun when you can dress up as twins with your pal, don't ya think?

Cheers to our first Super Bowl we're actually paying attention to.  Go Hawks!

XOXOXOXO,
Erika and Sebastian
