DIY Clothes Rack

You might remember the DIY hangers I made a few weeks ago?  Well, it lead me to this project next!

Sebastian and I headed to woodshop (mainly to supervise the husband) with our drawing and measurements.

We used Pine, since that's what we had laying around in the garage.  I drew the legs of the clothes rack on the wood and my husband cut them out.

After we cut out and sanded all of our pieces, we took them home to assemble.

We Drilled holes for the bars.

We used Wood Glue to keep the bars in place.

Then it was time for me to take over the job and paint!

If you've ever crackled anything before, it can be a lot of fun.  I love the crackled look.  You do a base coat first (the color that will show through the "cracks), then apply the crackle glaze (which is basically a clear glue), and then apply your top coat (different color from your base coat).

The crackle glaze shrinks as it dries and pulls the top coat away to create the cracks.  Cool, right?!

We love it!

XOXOXOXOXOXO,
Erika and Sebastian

  1. Teri said when she eventually empties out one of the 3 closets she has HER clothes in, that she will make us one of our own, and we will make some of your DIY hangers, too! http://www.sewdoggystyle.com/2012/04/diy-dog-hangers.html

Ps: the guy in the blue shorts came today and our Doggy Style clothes came! They fit the hospital kitty just fine, so Teri said they should fit us kitties! Oh, Oh...and she loves the Project Runway tank!!!!!

  5. It's a very nice and practical clothes rack for your dog. You must really love him. I suggest you bring him to the dog grooming in Long Island for complete pampering.

  10. Netflix.com manages to attract millions of consumers who use it to stream online media. The reason is the on-demand access to one’s favorite movies, TV shows, music, etc. All one needs is an active internet connection on a device like a smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop or smart TVs.

  11. In the early 2000’s, the top two gold miners production cost was closer to the price in the market. However, after the US Housing and Banking Market collapsed in the year 2008, the gold market price moved up considerably higher than the cost of production. Today Gold Rate An analysis suggests that the Gold Rate Today was starting to hear towards its high-quality store of value properties rather than the commodity pricing mechanism.
